Reading Gordon Wood

I have a persistent fear that someday I may encounter a pack of smug and conceited history graduate students in a bar and find myself unprepared. Since I need to be ready for this contingency I am reading Gordon Wood’s Radicalism and the American Revolution. Commentary will follow in a few weeks.

Of course. Does not everyone live in fear of these roving bands of graduate students who will ponce upon unsuspecting innocents with their intellectual prowess. Once I finish this book I will feel so very secure that I will be fully able to parry their verbal assaults with skill and dexterity. I will sleep so much better at night.
